As our Tiny Houses are imported from overseas, and are built to different countries’ standards. While we have worked with our manufacturer to modify certain materials to better align with New Zealand requirements, some specific elements still do not fully meet the New Zealand Building Code. As a result, our Pods may not meet the standards required to obtain consent as a permanent dwelling. However, if used as temporary, movable, and self-contained units (not fixed to the ground), building consent may not be required in some cases. We strongly recommend confirming the specific rules with your local council.

However, moving them requires careful preparation and the following steps: The unit must be folded, and all plumbing, electrical, and fixed connections disconnected by licensed professionals. Furniture, splashbacks, cabinetry, trims, and similar internal fittings must be removed before folding. Always check local regulations before moving. Planning ahead is key to a smooth relocation process.

Delivery across New Zealand typically ranges from $800 to $4,500, depending on the distance from the port to your site. Prices are subject to change over time, so we recommend requesting a current delivery quote closer to your expected delivery date.

We provide free installation instruction videos. As our Tiny Houses are delivered throughout New Zealand, we do not provide on-site installation services unless otherwise arranged via a separate agreement. Approximately 95% of the build is completed before delivery. Although setup is relatively simple, we strongly recommend using licensed professionals for installation to ensure compliance and performance. For 20ft models, a team of at least 3 people is required. For 40ft models, a team of at least 6 people is recommended. If you're unsure where to find qualified installers, local trade associations or professional bodies can usually provide recommendations. Correct installation is critical to ensuring the structure remains safe, weatherproof, and long-lasting—ultimately protecting your investment.

Our Tiny Houses do not come with built-in hot water or heating systems. You will need to install a gas Califont or a heat pump/air conditioning unit. Electrical outlets are pre-installed, but additional electrical work may be required depending on your setup. We strongly recommend using licensed electricians and plumbers to complete these installations safely and in compliance with New Zealand regulations.
